Level 2 and 3 Food Hygiene, Food Allergy and First Aid Training Package

Course Description

These courses teach learners to take responsibility for food monitoring procedures, identify food safety hazards and contribute to improvements in food safety practices.

Anyone who works in the food industry needs to be aware of the latest food hygiene standards and how they can impact both staff and consumers.

Knowing how to clean and disinfect equipment, safely store and prepare food to avoid cross-contamination, and control common pests will allow you to handle food safely and ensure that you’re complying with all of the relevant health and safety standards.

Understanding the common food allergies and what businesses should do to inform consumers helps you to meet obligations around the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation. They can also benefit from peripheral courses which bolster their skills in areas such as first aid to educate staff on the proper emergency response procedures.

The Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering certificate is a great way to boost staff development, give confidence to customers and demonstrate the compliance of your organisation.

The Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate is aimed at any business striving to achieve a 5* rating under the national hygiene rating system. Boost knowledge, confidence and understanding and receive a high quality certificate, accredited by City and Guilds, to demonstrate training has taken place.

The Food Allergen course involves teaching learners how to identify and understand the main food allergens, and the importance of handling food containing allergens carefully in order to keep customers safe.

The first aid course teaches learners to follow the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines for basic to advanced life support training. Learners will know what to do if they are first on the scene of an incident, how to assess the situation as a potential danger zone and understand the importance of the recovery position and how they may apply it.

The material is provided in an interactive format that is designed to be engaging and accessible. A basic knowledge of food hygiene will mean learners progress quickly, but the course is designed for anyone working in the service or hospitality sectors and should be suitable for any staff member to give them the knowledge needed to work effectively and safely.

Legislation covered in this course includes:
If you’re working in the hospitality or service industry, you will need to comply with the latest food and hygiene regulations. This Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering course is designed to help you comply with EU Regulation 852/2004, which requires food businesses to ensure that any employee who handles food is fully trained in food hygiene.

The Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering Course and Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene for Supervisors course are accredited by City and Guilds, while the First Aid Course and Food Allergy Awareness Training Course are accredited by Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
